Dear Fellow Alumni,
I am pleased to announce to you my recent appointment as National Alumni Association Reclamation Chairman. As I begin the process of putting together a plan to reclaim alumni, I want to solicit each of you to join my efforts. Currently, the amount of financial alumnus represents less than 5% of Cheyney University graduates. Accomplishing the tasks of increasing membership will require an unconditional effort on the part of each alumnus who is not currently a financial member of the National Alumni Association and their local chapter. As graduates of our great University and professionals in our various professions I want each of us to take on this challenge with a uniform approach. I have listed 6 points that I want every alumnus who comes in contact with this correspondence to consider endorsing and putting into action:
1. If you are already a financial alumnus, forward this email to at least 10 alumnus who are not financial with a personal message asking them to reunite themselves with the University by becoming financial with the Alumni Association.
2. Put aside all negative thoughts you may have or ever had about our university and open your mind to the important work that needs to be done to improve and continue the legacy of Cheyney University.
3. If you are not a financial alumnus, become a part of the "Reclamation Committee " goal of reclaiming 500 alumni by homecoming 2009.
4. Become a part of the revitalization of our Alumni Association. Help make our membership grow and our alumni voice be heard!
5. Mark your calender for homecoming 2009, (October 10) and plan to attend the annual Homecoming Alumni Weekend general meeting, and be part of the largest alumni participation for a homecoming meeting in recent history.
6. Download and complete the attached reclamation membership application and mail it in today!
